Today, the San Miguel County Coroner announced that the victims of a double homicide in Norwood have been positively identified via extensive DNA testing with the assistance of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
This step is a very important one for the families of these victims. The longing and hope caused by the uncertainty of loss often complicates grieving. The District Attorney commends the diligent efforts of San Miguel County Coroner Sante, the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
The District Attorney will continue the efforts of the prosecution team to hold those responsible for these deaths accountable, and to pursue justice in these cases.
Any criminal charge against a defendant is merely an accusation
and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
