In honor and memory of Sgt. David Kinterknecht, the United States Post Office in conjunction with US Congressmen Scott Tipton will name the Montrose US Postal Building after David.

The ceremony will take place at the Montrose Elks Lodge at 801 South Hillcrest Avenue starting at 1 p.m. Following the presentation, participants will caravan to the post office where a plaque will be placed in Dave’s honor.

The ceremony at the Elks Lodge will include a presentation by Montrose Mayor Dave Bowman and Chief of Police Blaine Hall followed by an Honor Guard presentation by the Montrose Police Department. All are welcome to attend the event.
